My first Triathlon!!!

About 6 months ago I thought it would be neat to so a triathlon. What was I thinking? Our summer has been so crazy and I didn't get to train as well as I would have liked, but that wasn't going to stop me. So Thursday we headed to Rexburg. Poor Lauren ended up getting the flu and threw up twice on the way home. Once we got to Rexburg she seemed to be feeling better, and was back to herself. After we ent to bed, I was awakened at 3:00 am with a very upset stomach and a run to the bathroom. I got her flu. I was supposed to be racing on Saturday and couldn't keep anything down. I tried to take it as easy on Friday as I could. I was so nervous and so nauseas. I got everything together Friday night and then my Dad and Jeff gave me a blessing and sent me to bed. Of course I slept like crap, but ended up feeling pretty okay. We got our shoes set up and then got our bikes to the lake. I put my sweet yellow cap on and got in the water. I ended up enjoying the swim alot more than I thought I would. I got on my bike and was feeling pretty tired. The bike was harder than I expected. The hills were very draining. Not having anything to eat or drink was not doing so well. I made it to the end of the bike and started my last leg of the race. The run was so hard. I was so cooked. Finally I saw the end and just ran. It was the greatest feeling ever to accomplish that. When I saw Jeff right before the end I just started crying. I felt Like I couldn't finish. He is my number one fan and has been at every crazy race I have done. I don't I could finish if it wasn't for him. I also have to add that I have the best family ever. Lesli and Michelle were the best cheerleaders. They even made me a poster. My mom did the sprint and is amazing. She is my hero and the reason I do these crazy things. My dad was there when I got out of the water and I even think I saw a little bit of proudness in his eyes. They are all so supportive. I accomplished this for me, but it feels good to know you have family behind you.

Summer Fun

Our family has been crazy for about the last 2 weeks. Jeff and I both had girls camp and scout camp the same week. I was doing okay with it the week before and then I had a serious breakdown. I am the camp director for our ward. Lets just say that I have a whole new respect for camp directors. I really wanted to make it a good girls camp. I wanted the spiritual and the fun times. As I started packing and getting things together, my sweet husband got the blunt end of my stress. Thank heavens I married a patient man. He was stressed also trying to get ready, but put that aside to help me and tell me it was going to be okay. Our poor kids could feel the strain. My parents were so nice and took our kids for the week we were gone. Jeff left Monday and I left Tuesday. What an amazing time we both ended up having. All the stress was well worth it. Our testimony meeting was one of the greatest I have been too. It is a little bittersweet that it is over. Girls camp has been on my mind for the last 8 months, and now it is over. On the other hand it will be nice to get back to normal. I guess as normal as we can be.

When we got back, some friends invited us to go boating for FHE. My kids were so excited and we had a great time. Andrew, Jeff and I all knee boarded, and tubed. Then Jeff tried wakeboarding and loved it. He did so good. The evening was just what we needed. The kids loved the lake.
Me trying the knee board. Super fun. Even tried a three sixty, but slipped every time!
Lauren rode on Jeff back while he knee boarded. She hated it.
Andrew did awesome on the knee board.
The kids on the tube. They laughed the whole time.
Jeff wakeboarding. The water was super choppy. You would never know it was he first time!

Muttin Bustin Cowgirl!!

Here in Spanish Fork, the 24th of July is big. Good old Fiesta day. We have Rodeos, carnivals and of course the parade. We love the rodeo and try to go every year. This year Lauren decided she wanted to Muttin Bust. We bought her a cute pink cowboy hat, put her in her boots and she was ready to go. We got to the rodeo and she was excited, and then they called her to go get ready. Jeff said when she saw the sheep her heart was beating out of her chest. She got on the sheep and of course was only for about 3 seconds. When she fell off she actually plugged her nose thinking she was falling into water. She did so good and said she wanted to do it again next year. We had a great week. We love fiesta days.

Jeff and I are off to girls camp and scout camp. The kids are getting sent to gramps and grams in Rexburg. They are life savers. Aunt Michelle even volunteered to take them to there. Bless her heart.

Happy 4th !!!!!!!

We had a terrific 4th of July. We headed to Rexburg to spend it with my family. Everyone was able to come, but Meg and Joe. We sure did miss them. We took the kids to the good old Rexburg Parade. We had great seats thanks to Grandpa Cheney. The kids were loaded up with candy and I think Caden was on a sugar high before the parade was even over. After the parade we went back to the house for a good old BBQ. Mike cooked the best stakes, and the food my mom and dad make are always the best. We played human battleship with water balloons and it was a blast. Of course we had to play backyard baseball and it is always a classic. We decided to stay home and do our own fireworks show and it was fantastic. THe boys thought they were twelve again and lit of all sorts of fireworks. Big and Small. It was a great fourth of July.

Saturday we just relaxed. It was heaven. We were able to help my mom make Olivias blanket. It was definetly made with love. The boys went golfing and then we took the kids to Kung Foo Panda. Super cute show. That night we cooked hot dogs and smores over the fire and put the kids to bed early. We got to sit around and play games and eat party mix. It was a great weekend. Thanks mom and dad for letting us come home.

Dam Marathon

This weekend, all of my family came home to run the relay in the dam marathon. We had so much fun. My parents, Lesli, Mike, Michelle and I ran the relay, while Meg ran the half. She did awesome. For those of you who know Rexburg, know Summers hill. That is the dam run I got. It is a straight up hill for about 5.5 miles. I know I can't complain about 5 miles, but let me tell you it was straight up hill. We had a great time and we all ran great. It was fun to do it with my family. My little family was great also. My husband is my biggest support. He thinks I am crazy, but still is there taking pictures and cheering me on. I love them all.

We had a great bbq that night to celebrate father's day. I hope that Jeff and my dad and Father in law had a great day. I love them and am thankful for them all. It was a great weekend.

Happy Birthday Babe!!!!!!!!!

Jeff Surfing!
After the Moab half marathon.
He got to change the first diaper after Morgan was born. What a good Dad.

Jeff is 32 years old today. I will probably be in alot of trouble for telling how old he is, but I love to tease him. He is the greatest Husband and Father. These were only a few of the pictures I have of him. He won't give me the camera. I had to put the one of him surfing because he loved it. I love that he is willing to try anything. Even running a half marathon. I was supposed to run it with him, but ended up getting pregnant. When he crossed the finish line, he said never again. To this day, he says never again. I love him for doing things for or with me even when he has no desire. He is also the greatest father to our three kids. I admire him every day for the kind of man he is. I love you always babe. Hope you have a great day. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!

It's Seven Peaks Time!!!

Morgan and her friend Tehya.
Lauren and her best friend Avery!
Showing me how well she floats!
Morgan and Aunt Michelle.
I had to put this one on for her dad. Jeff hates it when I let her drink my pepsi.

My kids have been waiting for it to get warm enough for me to take them to seven peaks. Well that day finally arrived. I think I only saw Andrew for about 10 minutes. He was on the slides all day. Lauren wanted to be in the water every minute we were there. She is my fish. Morgan just likes to hang out. As for me, put me in the sun and I am a happy woman. We are excited to go more and enjoy the summer. My sister michelle and her little girl go with us so it makes it really fun. The kids also have their little friends that are there, so they don't drive me crazy all day. I love the summer.
